FloridaRAMA Project

Temple of Cosmic Balance, Installation

For FloridaRAMA, Chris has created a multi-sensory installation of contemporary and sacred art, offering a glimpse into the infinite consciousness and energy hidden within us all. Representations of the God Shiva and Goddess Shakti permeate the room in forms of illuminated stained glass, altars, infinity mirrors, light projections, paintings, healing sounds and wall murals. The combination of these ancient, esoteric symbols illustrates the cosmic balance between the dual forces that are eternally powering our dynamic universe. Designed as sacred space, this installation provides an oasis for the mind and encourages sensitive guests to experience moments of peace and calmness that transcend the busy world of language and thoughts.

Bio—
With 21 years of experience as a professional artist, the catalog of work created by Palehorse now serves as a breadcrumb trail highlighting his intense curiosity and relentless quest for deeper meaning and self-discovery. Driven by a devoted spiritual practice, along with an ever-expanding love for sacred art, Eastern mythology, ancient civilizations, shamanic ceremonies and world travel, his visuals become richer and more refined as he continually explores these esoteric portals throughout the years. His imagery is a celebration of an absolute love of Asian culture that blends the traditional ornamental design of the temples of Thailand and the Thangka paintings of Tibetan Buddhism with Indian motifs, and Tattoo culture. These traditions are then filtered through the lens of an American yogi / psychonaut / illustrator who was born in the 70’s and grew up skateboarding, surfing, getting tattooed and playing guitar in metal bands. Bridging the gap between East and West, the murals, posters, apparel designs, podcasts, guided meditations, and sacred artwork of Palehorse are offered to captivate the imagination and point a finger towards the ineffable spirit of infinite bliss, love and oneness that lies just behind the fringe of the thinking mind.

Before deciding to pursue his current path of devotional art and spiritual practice, Palehorse had an illustration agent in New York City and his work has been commissioned by top brands such as: National Geographic, Nike, Mini Cooper, FX, DC Snowboards, Vans, X-Games, World of Warcraft, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Arnette Sunglasses, Under Armour, WWE, Brisk Iced Tea, Modelo, Jagermiester, Bud Light, PBR and Live Nation. He has created entrance artwork for some of the largest music festivals in the world, and designed officially licensed, screen-printed posters for musical acts such as Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, Converge, Primus, Iggy Pop, Jimi Hendrix and Rush. In 2015 he and his wife Michelle were founding members, curators, and organizers of the Shine Mural Festival, and since then, they have had an enormous impact on the city by hoisting many world-renown mural artists, which brought new life to our city when many shops and local businesses we’re closing due to the ongoing recession. Palehorse has also created masked pro wrestling persona’s for world-class luchadors such as AEW’s Serpentico and Arena Mexico’s CMLL star known as Oráculo.
