Coastal House, 3/4″ Birch Plywood

Found throughout FloridaRAMA's experience, Coastal House is part of a series that represents certain tropical plants being simplified into a 2D paradox of their original form. Coastal House is a representation of a Royal Palm in 20 pieces, providing a surreal representation of what the internal structure would look like if the organic exterior was removed, thus creating a simplified, playful version of something that was once organic and now is manmade.

Bio—
Shane is a design consultant exploring in the fields of architecture, graphic and product design. He has a fascination with structural elements and how things are assembled, which threads into his practices: working in 2D methods at the start and discovering how something should look and how it could be built, then eventually transitioning into a 3D realm, bringing the work to life.
