FloridaRAMA Gallery proudly presents Florida Famous, a solo exhibition by conceptual and mixed media artist Paul Leroy Gehres, from August 2 to August 30, 2024. The exhibition celebrates Florida's unique cultural characters, past and present, featuring portraits of local personalities and some of Florida’s more notorious residents. Gehres, known for his exploration of pop culture and celebrity, invites viewers into a personal exploration of Florida through his creative and exhaustive research.

Gehres' work, often inspired by Andy Warhol, incorporates elements such as stencils, blotted lines, and screen prints. His practice of adding celebrity elements to his art reflects contemporary culture’s value of fame. Since moving to St. Petersburg in 2012, Gehres has become a champion of the local arts community and has garnered significant recognition. Florida Famous includes events like an opening reception, listening party, live stream celebration, and a drink and draw session.
